What makes a clinic doctor-led?

A doctor-led clinic is one where a registered medical practitioner oversees the medical side of the practice, rather than a clinic where a nurse or therapist works under remote or occasional supervision. At TT Aesthetics that practitioner is Dr Tony Truong, who holds general medical registration with Ahpra (MED0002231522) and works on site alongside the nursing team.

Every one of those registrations can be checked yourself on the public Ahpra register at ahpra.gov.au — you do not have to take our word for it, and you should not have to for any clinic you are considering.

How should I choose a cosmetic clinic in Melbourne?

Four checks are worth doing before you book anywhere. Look up the practitioner’s registration on the Ahpra register and confirm it is current and unrestricted. Ask who performs the assessment and whether it is the same person who performs the treatment. Ask what happens if you are not a suitable candidate. And be cautious of any clinic advertising prices or product names for prescription treatments, because Australian law does not permit it.

Where is the clinic, and how do I get there from the CBD?

420 Docklands Drive, Docklands VIC 3008, inside The District Docklands. From the CBD it is roughly fifteen minutes on foot from Southern Cross Station, or a short ride on the 70 or 86 tram. The District has free and paid parking garages plus paid street parking on Docklands Drive, which is generally easier and cheaper than parking in the CBD itself.

What can I have a consultation about?

What actually happens in a consultation?

Four things: your concerns and what you want to change, an examination of the area, the likely cause of what you are seeing, and whether treatment is appropriate at all. Some patients leave without proceeding, and that is a legitimate outcome rather than a failed appointment. Nothing is decided or administered before that conversation.

Why are there no prices on this website?

Australian law does not permit clinics to publish pricing for services that involve prescription-only medicines, under the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989. This applies to every compliant clinic in the country. If you see a Melbourne clinic advertising a per-unit price for an injectable treatment, that clinic is not meeting its obligations. Your options and what they cost are discussed with you privately during your consultation.

Do you offer consultations to people who have been treated elsewhere?

Yes. Patients often come for an assessment after treatment somewhere else, either to discuss what was done or to plan what comes next. Bring whatever records you have.
